Account Holders:
People equal to or above 18 years of age who sign up with Totalee Halal using Totalee Halal App and/or website to order cooked food, desserts, raw food, general grocery edibles as well as other vetted Halal edibles.
Guests:
People equal to or above 18 years of age who haven't signed up with Totalee Halal but intend to order cooked food, desserts, raw food, general grocery edibles as well as other vetted Halal edibles using Totalee Halal account of an Account Holder with consent of the Account Holder.
Merchants:
Staff, owners, drivers and other associated workforce of businesses registered with Totalee Halal including but not limited to Restaurants, Dessert Stores, Butcheries and Grocery stores who have made themselves available on Totalee Halal App & Website to make cooked food, desserts, raw food, general grocery edibles as well as other vetted Halal edibles available for Purchase.
2. Data collections and uses
2.1 The Data that we collect:
Account information:
When a user creates account using Totalee Halal App or Website, we ask for and collect their first & last name, email address, phone number, delivery address, username, password, profile picture(if uploaded), payment or banking information (including related payment verification information) as well as user preferences & setting.
Demographic Data:
We may collect general demographics which can be age, gender, residential area, occupation, language preference and device type.
Device Information:
We gather information such as hardware models, IP addresses, operating systems with its versions, software details, preferred languages, mobile network, device identifiers, advertising identifiers and motion data.
Location:
To ensure orders are picked & delivered right where you want them from or to, we collect your exact or approximate location with the app open or closed also from the time of order being placed to the time of order being delivered. This location may also be shared with Merchant and its staff for seamless delivery of orders.
Order Data:
For the placed order we collect information about the details of order including items ordered, amount paid, payment method used for making the payment, choice of Merchant along with Merchant address and order delivery address.
Communication Data:
We collect data of communication held between us and our users which may include voice and non-voice communication.
Interaction Data:
We collect data of communication held between users and the support team of Totalee Halal over Chat, Calls or email as well as any data submitted for review in form of image, audio, video or user ratings.
Service Data:
We collect data about the date, time, platform choice, viewed pages, features, and instances of app failures & crashes logged against your interaction with app.
2.2 Use of data that we collect:
Research & Development:
Collected data is also used during analytical processes conducted for improving the experience of our users by improving Totalee Halal App and/or Website.
Availability of Service:
Collected data is used for performing vital technical and non-technical processes for improving and to keeping Totalee Halal App & Website and its services available for creation of account to connect users for the purpose of ordering & delivering items made available on Totalee Halal App & website by Merchants as well as for calculating cost/charges/fees for ordering items against which we may also extend recommendations based on past usage & preferences.
Fraud & Safety risk mitigation:
Collected data is used for ensuring safety and minimizing risk of fraud for which we analyze data, including but not limited to account information, device details, location data, usage patterns, transaction history, wireless carrier information, and other relevant data. This analysis encompasses communication between users along with associated metadata.
Marketing & promotion:
We use collected data to perform in-app, email, text and/or surveys, suggest Merchants with deals offered and any additional promotional deals which may come from time to time based on user preferences.
Enable communication between users:
Collected data is shared for enabling Customers to communicate with Merchants as well as Merchant(s) and their staff including but not limited to Delivery Drivers with the Customers.
Seamless Customer Support:
Data including but not limited to call recordings, chat logs, in-app audio recordings is collected to deliver customer support. This involves investigating and resolving user concerns, as well as monitoring and enhancing our customer support responses and processes. Totalee Halal conducts these activities based on the necessity to fulfill agreements with users or for the legitimate purpose of monitoring and improving its customer support services.
Legal requisites:
We may also utilize collected data to investigate or address claims or disputes related to the use of Totalee Halal App and/or website and its services. This is done to meet requirements under applicable laws, regulations, operating licenses, agreements, and insurance policies or in response to legal processes or governmental requests, including those from law enforcement.
Other communications:
Totalee Halal may utilize data to distribute surveys and other communications that do not aim to market the services or products of Totalee Halal or registered Merchants, instead may aim to take opinion on local compliance processes relevant to Totalee Halal App and/or website and its services.

Certain services and features within the Totalee Halal App and/or website necessitate the sharing of data among users against their request and/or consent. This may require us to share:
User to User:
Merchant(s) name, address, contact details as well as items made available by Merchant(s) on Totalee Halal App and/or Website. Account Holder Name, contact details and address and/or location of the Account Holder along with order details including the items ordered, any mentioned allergies or food preferences and special instructions for fulfillment of order.
Liaison Sharing:
Your information after collection may also be submitted to third parties and third party categories for which we recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies to understand how they collect and utilize personal data. These include but are not limited to; cloud storage providers, social media businesses, survey partners, payment processors, Google Inc. for maps utilization and professionals including but not limited to lawyers, accountants & other consultants.
General Sharing:
User submitted reviews, questions & comments on Totalee Halal social media pages and/or blogs may be visible to the public which may also include provided data in the submitted.
Legal:
Along with aforementioned, we may also share collected data for legal reasons or in connection with claims or disputes as and when required by law. This involves the sharing of data with law enforcement officials, public health authorities, other government entities, or third parties when necessary to enforce our Terms of Service, user agreements, or other policies. It is done to protect the property, rights & safety of Totalee Halal and others in the event of a claim or dispute related to the use of our services. 2.4 Data that we Keep or Delete:
Totalee Halal retains user data based on the type of data, user category, the purposes for data collection and the need for data retention after receiving an account deletion request. Examples of data retention include:
Data necessary to provide services is retained for the duration of users' accounts (e.g., account data). Data required for compliance purposes may be retained for 10 years. Users can request account deletion by emailing at support@totaleehalal.co.uk.
Upon receiving an account deletion request, Totalee Halal deletes the user's account and associated data, except when necessary for safety, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or addressing issues related to the user's account (such as outstanding credit balances or unresolved claims/disputes).

Totalee Halal and its Merchants employ cookies and other identification technologies across our apps, websites, emails, and online ads, as outlined in this notice and our Cookie Policy. 4. Choice and transparency
Totalee Halal allows its Users to control and access the data that we fetch through your preferences, permission & settings, ratings provided by other users as well as the choices opted on marketing & advertising.
Location:
Users may feel free to restrict Totalee Halal App and/or website from accessing device location by accessing settings of device or browser in use. From there users may be able to choose between; Always Allow, Allow while the app is open or Never allow, however during the process of order fulfillment, the location may still be accessed.
User to User communication:
Direct communication held outside Totalee Halal App and/or Website between users makes users at liberty to share or restrict data as per preferred or required.
Rating:
Users may have the choice of rating each other i.e. Account Holders can rate Merchants upon fulfillment of order and Merchants may also be able to rate Account Holders.
Push Notifications:
Customers may feel free to restrict Totalee Halal App Push notifications by accessing settings of their device, however, by opting out customers may miss-out on promotional offers & voucher codes as well as order necessary updates pushed while an order is in process. Merchants shall not at any point turn notification off. This may prevent the Totalee Device from notifying Merchants of new order(s) which may then result in order(s) failure.
Permissions:
Different mobile device platforms, such as iOS and Android, have specific categories of device data that apps cannot access without the explicit permission of the device owner. These platforms employ varying methods to obtain such permission. Users are advised to review the settings available on their devices or consult their service provider for more information.
Request Your Data:
Users may feel at liberty to request a copy of data including profile information and order history. Users may also feel free to update their name, phone number, email address, address, payment method and profile picture/logo via the settings menu. Deletion of Data:
Users may request deletion of data however, section 2.4 may apply and supersede as required.
